I just got sliding shelves two days ago, to pull out my Crate Power blocks and two VHT Valvulators.
I just ordered an older Hush / Rocktron Noise Reduction unit and a 882 BBE Sonic Maximizer to go through the effects loops of my Crate Powerblocks.

          Serious .... A mid 60's Fender amp !!!!
I had a 1968 Fender Princeton amp , had a twelve in. Music Man speaker.

I noticed they have to fatten up once you go passed 4 on the vol. knob .... upper mid fattens up .... Classic Ted Nudgent or Pat Travers crunch.

For some reason. Fender decided to put the speaker cord input to the cabinet at the bottom. ????

so the cord would have to be 36 inches long.

sure, you can turn the back panel of the speaker cabinet around and you could use a shorter speaker cable.

no big deal. It's not like this is something on the front burner.

I'll find the right cord some day. Shit like this usually just drops in my lap for free.

Theirs always Reverb or EBay ....

Stay away from Facebooks version of EBay ....it's much worse than Criags list musicians wanted ads.

Dude, you read way too many gear reviews. Lol.

upper mids ,fatten up, touch sensitive, transparent over drive, cleans up with your guitars volume control, alnico vs ceramic, my wood is too heavy.

do you think for one second any talented musician from the golden era of rock.....gave two shits about this ?

shut up and play your guitar !

Serious, they did care .... Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Alvin Lee, David Gilmore, Richie Blackmore, Robin Trower gave a serious fuck about the gear they played through ....

                They really cared .... You're a lactating nipplehead .....

Why don't you eat a box of violent laxatives and attempt to do a thousand sit ups .....and come back in more mature and dignified wearing some mudflaps !!!!

I buy the shit that I buy as a hobby. There a ton of guys out the who buy expensive gear that bought into the sales pitch by the manufacturer and the reviews from various sites.

the cool part is this, I don't have to get in my car and go get it. I lay out the cash, take a photo of the cash With a sticky note with the last thing he said via text.

I get it delivered for free.

Utah is booming, we have a great classified listing for guitar related gear on ksl.com

but here's the trick,....I tell the seller if they bring it to my home and I decline on the deal, I give them 20.00 for their effort.

I've only done that once. The guy was in his late 70s and selling an American vintage 64 telecaster in vintage blonde. Now, I have this model but I don't have all the case candy.

neither did he. So I sent him on his way with 20.00 bucks for his trouble. He didn't want to accept the 20 dollars so I put it in shirt pocket and said that was our deal my friend....thank you !

Nah, I owned an original 1968 Fender Princeton amp w/ 12" in. Music Man speaker, from 1979 until 1988, I ran everything from an original Univox Univibe ( still own it), 1979 EHX Electric Mistress Flanger Deluxe, Rat Distortion, Big Muff and an original Rockman.

The amp got ripped off in 1988, when I lived in the Fair Fax District.
That basic amp was like no other. I pushed that amp hard and some..... I know that amp.

Push it to ten and with good overdrive you could easily get a Ted Nugent kick.

Yea, it's a 65 showman with the 15 inch jbl d130f tone ring cabinet. It came with the Victoria luggage covers.

it still has it's original tubes and the circuit has never been touched.

I bought it last year from the owner of June audio, a recording studio in provo utah. He bought it from the original owner.

I have a collection of late 67 early 68 fender amps. Two bassmans, two Princeton reverb, and a vibro champ.

those early Silverface fenders had a unique grill cloth.

Sweet! In the first band I was in I was lucky to have played through the bass players 65 Dual Showman. Unlike you I wasn't lucky enough to have the matching cab and had to play it through a hodge podge of various cabs. It was LOUD and clear, wish I had heard it through a proper Dick Dale set up.

I was 14 so it was a lot of amp for me. Had a mid 70's Ibanez Cherry V(Rocket Roll was what Ibanez called them) ran it into a MXR Distortion+ 》Ibanez AD-9 Analog Delay.

Definitely a case where youth was NOT wasted on the young.

I can tell you're a hobbiest .... That's cool .... But my playing took me to all lower 48 States and 6 Canadian Provinces, from 1987 to 1992.

                                  And I occasionally play live.

I don't knock people for their gear ....if it's old or new ....digital or analog foot pedals.

Everybody has their way of playing their instruments and ways to get great tone.

I get tremendous compliments on my sound, playing and gear.

And I know guys that don't need much gear and they're awesome players.

So get off your gear snob soap box .... You're starting to look as ridiculous as as your political beliefs.

Well, in fairness to Bucky, he was one of the few people who defended my right to buy crap when I bought an SX P-90 LP for about $119 from Rondo. A lot of people were saying I made a mistake, but Bucky was telling them to leave me alone, and I appreciate that
